Note by the Secretary-General

The Secretary-General has the honour to transmit to the General Assembly his updated report on the role of the Economic and Social Council in the integrated and coordinated implementation of and follow-up to the outcomes of the major United Nations conferences and summits, which was prepared in accordance with General Assembly resolution 57/270 B. The report, contained in document E/2005/61, was also considered by the Economic and Social Council at its substantive session of 2005.
