• Start of a new project laptop4D ( November 2008 ) building upon PC4D past achievements, learning from past DWF obstacles, to continue with an inclusive, multi-stakeholder approach orientation within the WSIS spirit, in order to enpower low cost laptop solutions to bridge the Digital Divide, through an open Forum.
  
  
• Withdrawal of ENSTA/KNIS from the DWF Consortium ( effective 30 July 2008, finalized in November 2008 ), over disapointement with the orientation of the DWF WP2 ( Low-Cost Laptop ) that developed more into report writing than into a Forum.
